Our Summer Missionary Program gives young people and adults (ages 15 and up) the opportunity to serve as a short-term missionary in their home county.  Each summer, we ask the Lord to send us young people who will serve Him for eight weeks of their summer.

Our summer missionary candidates attend two weeks of intense training at our Summer Missionary Training School held at Mountain View Bible Camp.  This training is by CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP OF EASTERN PA, INC.  It is designed to equip the student for summer ministry as well as for a lifetime of service.  During this intense, two-week training, the young people will have unique opportunities and experiences in taking God’s Word to spiritually-hungry children in the surrounding areas as well as to the inner city of Harrisburg.  They will also learn how to effectively teach every aspect of a 5-Day Club such as: how to teach a Bible lesson, memory verse, missionary story, and songs; how to counsel a child; and much more.

After completing Summer Missionary Training School, the summer missionaries will return to their county to teach in 5-Day Clubs and Vacation Bible Schools and to serve at Good News Day Camps.

This year, Summer Missionary Training School will be held Sunday, June 9th through Saturday, June 22nd.
